Volunteers are important to our parks!
Whether for one day a week, or several times a year, individuals and groups devote energy to strengthening and revitalizing the parks in central Illinois. One of the better-known benefits of volunteering is the impact on the community. Unpaid volunteers are often the glue that holds a community together and the disc golf community is no exception. Volunteering allows you to connect to your community and make it a better place. Even helping out with the smallest tasks can make a real difference to our organization.
At the CIDGA we believe that volunteerism is one of the highest forms of recreation! Volunteer participation in the CIDGA instills a sense of ownership and accountability in the volunteer that leads to greater connection and esteem.
To continue learning and growing
To develop new interests and friendships

To gain valuable job experience
What Volunteer Positions Are Available?
Our primary focus for volunteers is picking up trash and light landscaping, like spreading mulch or wood chips.
Who Can Volunteer?
Volunteers must be 14 years of age to independently volunteer. Youth younger than age 14 may volunteer with a parent or legal guardian.
Your Role As A Volunteer
All volunteers are considered to be representatives for the CIDGA. As representatives, volunteers are expected to be polite and supportive to other disc golfers, guest, other volunteers, and staff. Being a representative also means that volunteers be passionate and have a good time!
